Superb pr mid 19thcStaffordshire coloured hearthside spill vases with leaping stags and black and white hounds.. Dating c.1860.

Excellent attention to detail on this pair of spill vases. Brightly coloured and superbly modelled. The hounds are very well marked with black feathered markings. The stags beautifully coloured with fine attention to pose and to their faces. Fine sense of movement to these figures.

Measures some 11.5\" height x 7.25\" at base.

Condition: damage to both spill vases with both stags having repairs to legs and to centre where stags\' body meets stem of spill. One figure has more evident damage to back of spill.. All as images.
