A superb early pair of 19thc Staffordshire pearlware figures of the cobbler and his wife each riding a goat..
Excellent attention to detail with finebright colours. The cobbler's wife carried children on panniers on her back. The cobbler carries baby goats a basket on his back. Hollow bases to each piece.
Height some 5.25"and some 3.5" long at base.
Condition: The cobbler's baby goat has lost an ear, and the stick held by cobbler is broken off at one end. Otherwise in lovely age commensurate condition. Cobbler's wife in excellent age commensurate condition.
