Superb Qing Chinese Carved Agate Loose Ring Miniature Tea Pot W Original Stand:
For sale we have here a superb c1900 Chinese carved agate miniature tea pot with two sets of loose rings along with its original hardwood stand. This tea pot was produced in China right around the turn of the century and is of a good high quality piece having good translucent material and a tall cover. Both the cover and the body have nicely ground vertical lappets surrounding the outside and is well hollowed with a tall cover and a pointed conical finial complete with a pair of loose rings fitting nicely onto the body which also has a pair of loose rings with one hanging just below the spout and the other on the delicate handle. The color is a light smokey gray with a couple of light russet inclusions as well as a few pale gray/whiteinfusions having good translucency along with a good old surface polish and three delicate cabriolet legs. It comes with its original hardwood stand in a great complimenting shape and a well carved skirt with pierced openwork and 4 legs/feet. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, losses or repairs only having a few production flaws from the grinding process but just mentioning for accuracy as they are not very noticeable and the stand is also in excellent condition.
