A superb rare porcellanous Staffordshirefigurine with boy and white poodle dog.Dates mid 19thc.

The boy figure is seated on a flowering branch with poodle dog portrayed jumping up at him. A very fine early quality Staffordshire figure. The base is hollowed up inside. Ribbons of flower bocage tumble across the base with large open flower heads and with hand gilded decoration.

The dog has thick applied chipping to body. Fine hand painted face with grey nose. The male figure is dressed in jacket and breeches.

Height some 6.5" and some 5.5" long at base.

Condition: The male figure has restoration to arms/hands. Firing crack to base (not damage) and generalised age commensurate crazing.
