Description A very handsome largeheavy-gaugeEnglish antique Edwardiansolid sterling silveralbert pocket watch chain by the silversmith William Joseph Spencer - (1895-1906), inlovelyconditionand with English silver hallmarksfor Birmingham 1903.Excellentquality genuine115 year old chain, with wide chunky silver graduating chain links, witha silver t-bar and asecuresilver swivel/dog catch and attached is a very nice antique Victorian solid silver cased combination quill cutter and button hook. Substantialheavy silver weight, approx92grams, (in total).

MeasurementsGreatlength, measures approx 14.15 inches (361mm) in length with a further 2.25 inches on the fob chain. The centre chain links measure 11mm wide.

Date English antique Edwardian solid sterling silver, with silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1903(date letter \"d\") stamped on the t-bar; the swivel/dog catch is silver hallmarked \"standard\" and is definitely antique sterling silver.There are clearlion passant silver hallmark stamps on all of the chain links and the silver combination fob is silver hallmarked Birmingham 1892, (date letter \"s\").

Maker Silversmiths initials \"W.J.S\", (William Joseph Spencer - 1895-1906), stamped on the t-bar.

ConditionLovely condition,with no splits or solder repairs, and with only minor wear on the chain links. The swivel/dog catch still work perfectly and has a good strong spring. The silver combination fob is also in lovely condition, no damage to the steel tools and no nasty knocks or dents to the silver mounted case. Very handsome silver watch chain and with a substantial silver weight.
