LIQUIDATION SALE Vintage Silk Pre-WWII 1940s Japanese fuchsia purple robe:

This is a lovely silk Kimono in muted fuchsia pink. It features a variety of different Japanese flowers -- camellias, sacred bamboo (nandina), botan, and tachibana, both dyed and embroidered. The long sleeves and the beautiful bright red lining are signs that date this kimono to the pre-WWII era, or the early 1940\'s and late 1930\'s. There is one embroidered kamon on the center back. This lovely yet modest kimono would make a wonderful outfit paired with any obi!

As with all vintage kimonos that are almost a century old, this kimono has patches of patina or yellowing on its lighter, dyed areas. There are some loose threads where the sleeves are attached to the kimono. And there may be some fading in the dye in some areas. Basting stitches are still found on the edges of the kimono, which indicate that it has been cleaned since last worn. They can be removed with a small scissor. But all in all, this kimono is in very good condition and definitely wearable.
