lTHE KING OF PEN
Like the fountain pens made at the end of the 19th century, this pen is made fromblack hard rubber, not resinor plastic. (Collectors user the initials BHR to denote pens made from thismaterial.) The highly polished surface looks like plasticbut, if rubbedbriskly with a knuckle, it gives off a faint smell of rubber. We can only conjecture why Sailor chose to call this the King of Pen instead of the King of Pens, however one thing does not get lost in translation, this pen's minimalist simplicity. The Sailor nib, arguably thebest produced in the world, makes this pen a joy to write with. This pen consists of Ebonite. The 21K nibhas a white metal "mask" on the engraved "frame" of the imprint. Because of its large size, it is somewhat flexible.
In 1911,Kyugoro Sakata, a famous and respected engineer inJapan, was first to introduce the sailor fountain pen inJapan. He started to make stylish and sophisticated writing instruments with thehighest level of specification and writing presentation available anywhere else in the world.
The Sailor Pen Company was started it is standing still now as a recognized factory. The Sailor Pen Company has proudly maintained this quality and technological excellence. Over the many years it has existed and still today it offers the customer a unique variety of writing instruments. All their products are renowned worldwide for their quality and carry the special lifetime guarantee of writing pleasure and excellence.
The charm of the SAILOR fountain pen is excellent NIB. Master nibdesigner of SailorNobuyoshi Nagaharais worldwide famous. Although Sailor Company is one of the top of 3 famous pen companies inJapan, they are the smallest. Then what is the good of them? They are thebest in NIB, which gather them the reputation.
SAILOR gives importance on writing efficiency and nibdesign rather than the decoration.
