Available here is a bit of a gem from just after the atomic age, a vintage Salton-Vesuviana espresso maker in polished cast aluminum. Manufactured in Italy in the mid-20th century, this unique machine features full-body metal for a one-of-a-kind look. Based on old-world steam pressure, this charming & diminutive machine introduced a 120v electric base (USA), hybrid portafilter with heat resistant handle, metal carafe, and a powerful built-in milk frother with adjustable pressure (unusual for the era!). The slightly-less-fine grind used for this machine combines the richness of espresso with the warmth of traditional European stovetop brewing. Craftsmanship, style, and effective extraction come together in this fantastic little device.DETAILS: This Salton is in very good condition — storage has been kind to this machine as it shows only a few cosmetic signs of wear and scuffs from normal use and age, as pictured. This set includes its original FULL-sized carafe, portafilter & basket, metal-interior screw cap, electric plug, and removable handles, so it\'s truly complete and ready for more espresso, cappuccino, and lattes.
