This work is a yakusha-e ( prints of actors) printby Utagawa Kunikazu. He was a disciple of Kunisada (Toykuni III). He became a member of the so-called Kamigata-e school. He was one of the most important and prolific mid-nineteenth century Osaka designer. This print represents a samurai in the design of a fan or a mirror. The actor is Jitsuka Enzaburo I in the role of Fujiwara Yorikane. A rare and unusual print.
