Found at Estate saleCollection of Gurley Candles;

Candles are not burnt.I have not tried to clean them. There are surface scratches,and storage marks. Some may be bent from storing in heated area.

These three have the Tavern Candle label with the flying red horse.

Santa is 2 1/2 inches tall 1 inch base, some of the red paint on his jacket and hat is missing. Black boots, two Blue eyes and red mouth.

The deer are 3 inches tall with a 1 inch base. The better of the two has a chip on its right ear. The other has a broken neck and its right ear is 1/2 gone. Both have good labels.

Gurley Novelty Holiday Candles; Established 1939, Commissioned Bythe Socony-Vaccum Oil Co. (now ExxonMobil). First products were marketed underthe name \'Tavern\'. By the 1940\'s the business was almost exclusively noveltycandles. 1949 Franklin Gurley bought the rights to the \'Tavern\' brand, andchanged the name to the Gurley Novelty Co.
