Sawaya and Moroni Biography:
Founded in 1984 as a result of an idea by William Sawaya and Paolo Moroni, the company bases its production on a number of exponents of contemporary design with deferring cultural backgrounds and design concepts. Almost as though to pay tributes to the many jargons that have characterized form in the last two decades of Italian furniture. The result: products with a strong presence, sometimes subtly poetic, all of them free from the constraints of trendiness.

We started attending sales and estate sales several years ago, through our travels and multiple relocations we have had the unique opportunity to collect some fascinating "what nots" and collectibles. Our most memorable city for fine antiques and heir loom pieces was Pittsburgh, PA, that's where we got hooked on antiques, uniques, and the Steelers!
Today we are fortunate enough to live in the proverbial "Golden Triangle" of History! We have the rare opportunity to attend several sales and estate sales each and every week spanning from VA to DC to MD to PA to NJ and up into New England if we get the itch. We have attended sales from the North to the South and Southwest, but this IS fertile ground for really great stuff!
We have named our business Frmthattic because we are constantly digging through the piles and widgets to find the truly unique and interesting. We buy because we like to, sometimes we cherish for our own, but most of the time we buy to share with others. Our philosophy is buy it cuz you gotta have it, not because you need it!
Don't be shy to tell us if you know something about a piece, we are on a constant quest to learn and are far from knowing everything. People are fascinating, there is a buyer for everything and there is some really amazing stuff out there. If you are looking for something in particular, drop us a line... Cuz you never know what you will find in the attic today!
