Scottish Sterling Teapot

This is a wonderful antique Scottish sterling silver teapot. It has a fantastic zodiac motif design, with signs of the zodiac depicted on the pot. This piece was designed by George Edward & Son in 1876 (Glasgow). It is hallmarked on both the bottom and the lid.

This pot measures 7-1/4\" inches in length, from the handle to the spout. It measures approximately 5-1/4\" inches tall, to the top of the finial. The pot weighs 453 grams.

This teapot is in very good overall condition. There are some minor surface scratches. There is some tarnish. There are no dents, breaks or repairs. There is NO monogram or inscription.

While researching this teapot, I found that another larger version of this zodiac teapot is listed on for about $3,100.
