The chumpi khuyas are carriers sacred energy. They are connected to the *Apus of Peru and have been used in shamanic *Despacho ceremonies in the Andes for centuries. They are used by the Q'ero peoples of the high Andes and shamanic practioners to convey bands of power and other rites of their lineage.
*Despacho .-is the Quechua word for offering. It describes the Andean practice of making offerings to the mountains (apus), Mother Earth (Pachamama), and other spirits in reciprocity, reverence, and Thanksgiving. A despacho is an act of love and a reminder of the connections we share with all beings, elements, spirits, and sacred places. At the deepest level, it is an opportunity to enter into the essential unity of all things.
A despacho is created during a celebratory ceremony. In the cosmology of the Andes, all life is experienced as a celebration and is perceived as one grand, infinite ceremony. Because physical survival is so hard in the high mountains, life is experienced as a true gift to be lived, not a problem to be solved.
*Apus. Each mountain is called by name for assistance in the ceremony. The mountains are Apu Kuntur, Apu Machupicchu, Apu Sacsayhuaman, Apu Salkantay, Apu Pachatusuan, Apu Pumahuanca, and Apu Senccapicol.APROX SIZE: 2 Inches Aprox each one
