Set of 4 Flight Worcester Cobalt Blue & Gold Thistle Coffee Cans C. 1792 - 1807Very pretty set of 4 early British porcelain coffee cans / cups and saucers. Nicely decorated with a cobalt blue band around the inside rim of the cups with gold gilt floral overlay. With gold gilt thistles along the outside of the cup, a gold gilt band along the foot rim, and gold highlights to the handles of the cups. The saucers have gold gilt thistle flowers in the center surrounded by a gold gilt band and three gold gilt thistles. With the same cobalt and gold pattern around the edge. Unmarked. Made by Barr Flight and Barr Worcester. Circa 1792 to 1807.These all have some wear to the gilding. One of the saucers has an approximately 5/8" long star shaped hairline on the bottom and two glazed over in manufacture chips to the foot rim. Otherwise good condition with no other chips or cracks to any of the pieces. Each cup measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 2 inches tall.
Each saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the pieces.
