It is rare to find a matching set of 12 arm chairs of this quality. Overstuffed seats, 6 each in 2 color stories of new contemporary silk, satin striped upholstery. Shield backs of hand-carved mahogany. American, circa 1900-1950.
Dimensions (approx.). 23" (wide) x 17.5" (deep) x 27" (top of arm) x 38" (top of back)
These are attractive and elegant dining/hall/desk/ bedroom/ boudoir chairs in superior vintage condition. Very slight wear commensurate with age and use. 2 chairs with minor repairs not affecting appearance or structural integrity.

Baileywyck Antiques is the store for our 4,000-square-foot brick-and-mortar store/gallery, Baileywyck Antiques LLC of Middleburg, Virginia, established in 2006. We have one of the largest collections in the Northern Virginia/WDC area, and only a fraction of our inventory is listed online, so please feel free to contact us if you are looking for something specific. We are located ±55 miles/75 minutes from Washington, DC. Please drop by for a visit when you’re in the area. Middleburg and its environs are beautiful and historic, and we’d love to see you! Information for Buyers
1. Before the Sale: We want you to be thrilled with your purchase… To this end, we strongly advise prospective buyers to ask questions about any item they may be interested in before purchase. We are happy to answer your questions and provide additional photos.
2. Shipping Information. Baileywyck can ship any item to any destination in the world safely, expeditiously, and fully insured.
- Who Pays? Unless otherwise noted, shipping and delivery are at the buyer’s expense. Buyers are welcome to contact us to discuss shipping options and arrangements—customer service is a priority, and our goal is to make the shipping process smooth and pain free.
- Process. i) Baileywyck (typically) will get quotes. ii) Buyer selects shipping firm and pays it directly. iii) The shipping firm then coordinates with Baileywyck to arrange pickup. Please Note: All items must be paid in full before shipping can be scheduled.
- Cost & Time. Fees for shipping and delivery vary depending on the value and size of the item shipped, as well as how and where it is shipped. It is typically most cost effective to ship single pieces via blanket-wrap, consolidated shipping services. Delivery is dependent on the schedule of the particular shipper and is typically within two to eight weeks of pickup (sometimes more, sometimes less).
- Local Pickup. Buyers are welcome to pickup their purchase/s from our brick-and-mortar store located in Middleburg, Virginia (± 50 miles/75 minutes west of Washington, DC). Please remember to bring your own blankets, ropes, tie-down straps, etc. We are happy to help load.
- Local/Semi-Local Delivery. Depending on the item/s purchased and delivery location, we may be able to deliver in our Sprinter van. We charge a reasonable fee for this service.
- Nonlocal Delivery. For longer distance shipping throughout the U.S. and worldwide, we are happy to help arrange and coordinate shipping and delivery of your purchase/s, including obtaining quotes. If you don’t have your own shipper, we maintain a list of third-party shipping and crating firms.
- Claims. Baileywyck Antiques is not liable for loss or damage to purchased items after they have been released to a third-party. The terms of the buyer-selected carrier's insurance coverage will apply to the shipment and the buyer will be responsible for working through the claim process with the carrier. We are happy to provide paperwork or any other required documentation to assist in the claim process.
- Storage Policy. Items purchased must be picked up or shipped within 45 days of purchase. We will make every effort to accommodate both your needs and the shipping company’s schedule. However, if after 45 days from the date of sale, pick-up or shipping arrangements have not been made (or other arrangement agreed to by us), you will receive a nonrefundable Store Credit for 70% of the purchase price. This Store Credit expires 180 days after the purchase date.
3. response. We work hard to please our clients in both our physical and stores. We feel that this is reflected by our 100% positive response as well as our many repeat clients, both online and in our shop. We will leave response for you once we have received yours. Your positive response lets us know that you received the item and are happy with it. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us and give us a chance to remedy the situation before leaving us negative or neutral response.
4. Our Prices. We are a retail business with a brick-and-mortar store in addition to our presence. We are committed to and passionate about acquiring quality merchandise, presenting it attractively, and providing excellent service to our clients—all of which has value. We feel this is reflected in our overwhelmingly-positive response as well as by the fact that many of our clients ( and in-store) are repeat buyers with whom we have done business for years. Lastly, our prices are based on what we paid for the item itself plus acquisition costs (which can be substantial: shipping, travel, etc.); they also factor in market conditions.
