Seth Thomas Antique Mantel Mantle Balloon Clock Parma Inlaid 1913 Nr:
SETH THOMAS BALLOON CLOCK PARMA INLAID – 1913
For offer is this Seth Thomas Parma inlaid balloon clock that is all original and in excellent condition. The case has been cleaned with mild cleaners and the original shellac finish was rubbed by hand with the finest wax. The case finish reminds me of a good old leather cover book that was well taken care of. With the exception of missing grommets and a small chip around the adjustment hole at the 12, the original convex white porcelain dial is in great condition. The convex beveled glass is really thick and has no scratches or chips in it. The inlaid on the clock can be seen on the sides and the front of the clock. The back has two small amounts of veneer missing but cannot be seen from the front or sides of the clock. The machine clasp brass sash and back door opens and closes properly as it should however the back door is missing its cover. This clock also comes with its original cylinder pendulum and a proper size ST stamped two sided key. Though hard to make out a date is stamped at the bottom of the clock. Everything on this clock is fully functional and working properly.
The fine round 8-day half-hour strike movement has been completely serviced and is running strong keeping accurate time. The open back door let’s the timbre and decay of the cathedral bell gong fill the room.
