Seth Thomas Antique Westminster Mantle Mantel Clock Chime 97 124 Movement E/c:
CHIME NO. 97 – 1928
Offered is this beautiful Seth Thomas Chime No. 97 produced in the year of 1928. The original finish Mahogany case is the most stunning that I have seen in a long time as the pictures will show with slight spider web lines (crazing). All the best features are on this model. Step up molding in the bottom front and sides of the clock with step down moldings at the 3 and 9. An open scroll like outline that starts at the 3 and 9 and stops at each end. Concaved wood around the dial giving a dish like appearance. A few minor character mark in the case that does not distract from her beauty which can all be seen in the pictures. No scratches or chips are on the convex glass and the bezel door and back door opens and closes properly. A nice original 5-inch silvered dial with very minor wear and raised bronzed Arabic numbers with fancy bronze serpentine hour and minute hands. The best sounding Mayland chime rods are in this model which you can see and hear each quarter hour followed by the full Westminster chime in the video provided. The Westminster 124 movement has been completely rebuilt for many years of trouble free service. The original pendulum bob and a proper size ST stamped two sided key comes with the clock. Every aspect of this clock is fully functional and in excellent condition.
What I do to ensure you are buying a quality clock from me.

Ø Replace all worn pivot holes with high quality Bergeon bronze bushings.

Ø Adjust chime and strike hammer sequence properly to assure smooth and even strikes at each quarter-hour and hour.
Ø Electronically regulate the beat and adjust the speed while the clock is level to ensure accuracy for many generations.

Ø Test the clock for a minimum of two weeks to ensure peak and proper performance for the new owner.
Ø Smoke free, pet free home. All clocks are cleaned removing odors.
