Antique Seth Thomas Tambour Mantel Clock Sentinel #1 Model

This is a great example of an Antique Seth Thomas Tambour Mantle Clock excellent condition. It was made circa 1920. It is a very nice mantle clock and Runs Great!

It has one strike on the half hour and sounds the hours on the hour on a cathedral gong with a mellow sound. It measures about9 inches high 17 inches wide and 6 ¼ inches deep. This is great Seth Thomas clock!

It has a signed Seth Thomas 8 day time and strike #89movement.This is a heavy-duty movement with solid brass plates.The case isa simple classic styleand has a mahogany finish with very few blemishes (see Pictures). The movement runs very well and keeps good time.

The movement was just cleaned, oiled, and checked for proper operation.This clock will not need servicing for many years to come, and is ready for the next 100 years.

The original signeddial is silvered with crisp black numbers and markings and is in great condition. It has convex glass on the front door – also the door fits well and is tight. This clock has an adjustment for fast and slow on the dial. This way you do not have to take the clock down from its shelf to adjust it for slow and fast!

The back door isingreat condition. Has the original paper label telling the model as "Sentinel #1"! The bezel (the metal around the dial) is ingreat condition, aged to a very nice antique patina. (See picture) Complete with a Seth Thomas pendulum anddouble ended key. (One end of the key is to wind the clock and the small end is to adjust the time). I have included some pictures of the movement so you can its well made heavy brass plates. This clock is very nice, runs great.
