This is a Seth Thomas double face weighted Calander clock. Rosewood finish. In working condition. Extremely rare. Believed to be 1865, but patent dates show dates as you see in pics provided. Measures approximately 18 1/8 w X 30 5/8''.

Papers that come with it state the following:

Reproduced copy of Henry De Vicks' clock invented in 1362, first mechanical clock made, The governing mechanism consisted of the verge and foliot balance. This form of mechanism was used 300 years, The only improvement during this period was the substitution of a wheel known as the crown wheel for the foliot balance.

Fresh state find, very minimal veneer damage.
