A recent addiction to the Settlers of Catan game led to the creation of a border frame to hold the pieces together. Without a border, the pieces just sit in the table top and are continually moved by bumping them when placing objects during game play. A frame like this should have been included with the game in the first place. This frame can be used for the standard game (3-4 players) or with the added extensions (included), you can use it with the 5-6 player expansion set.
This template is laser cut from 1/8" Plexiglas acrylic, the same stuff bullet proof glass is made from. The border frame is made up of 6 identical pieces that fit together like puzzle pieces to form a hexagon around the game cards. When disassembled, the pieces fit into your game box for easy storage. With care, this set will last you much longer than the game pieces will!This frame is made of blue acrylic. The blue makes a perfect border around the water pieces. The pieces will still have their protective paper coating on both sides so just peel the paper off the first time you use the frame.This sale is for the FRAME ONLY and not the game pieces. You will need to have your own game. The frame consists of 8 pieces. You will use 6 edge pieces for a standard game and simply add the shorter extensions on opposite corners to expand the game for 5-6 players.We are putting together several different frame designs and will make some of the designs in different colors.
