Shagreen Shark Skin Covered Sterling Silver Dresser Or Cufflink Box London 1930 :
$249

Polished Shagreen Shark Skin covered gold vermile washed sterling silver dresser, vanity, cuff link box with laurel leaves and bezel set coral marble accent rondle by James Walker, Hallmarked: London, 1930.

Originally dyed an emerald green, the Shagreen has faded rather evenly over the years to a handsome light sea green jade color. The base retains a fading but darker colour as to be expected.

Photos show the overall Good-Very good condition as well as the slight seam and base shrinkage expected of the genuine article.

Interior retains its full gliding and hallmarks on lid and base. Outer silver rim and leaves are oxidized silver.

Silver box has good solid weight but we don't have a scale available.

Measures: 2 1/4 inches diameter x 1 1/2 inches high.
