Shelley Chatsworth Cup, Saucer & Plate (s2072):
A beautiful cup, saucer and plate (in the Queen Anne shape)by Shelley in the Chatsworth pattern (S2072). This pattern shoes sprigs of small pink roses and green foliage. It was entered into the pattern book during or after 1927. They carry the backstamp used by Shelley between 1925 and 1940.
This trio is in fairly good condition. The cup and the saucer both "ping" in the typical Shelley fashion and I cannot see any damage. The plate does have crazing and therefore does not "ping". There is wear to the gold trim. These are the only faults I could see.Regardless, this trio displays brilliantly.
Dimensions - cup - handle to rim edge 10.5cms, 8.5cms wide, 6cms high - saucer - 13.25cms squarish - 15.5cms squarish(measurements are approximate)
