Vintage boxed set of “Christmas Dwarves Set of Six” No. 8651, 6 pcs, made in Japan- A Shiny-Brite Product. No date but likely 50’s or perhaps 40’s.
- Each (just under 3”)dwarf -(they look like elves though too!)is more whimsical than the last!
Their bodies are a pinecone dusted in white paint “snow.”, with chenille arms, chenille accents, fuzzy textured cardstock cone hats, molded plastic faces with painted features, chenille beards.
- Each holds a little accessory such as lantern, present via metal hook. Feet are rounded beads covered mostly in white paint/snow which extends to cover the cardboard circles they stand upon.
- The bottom of the circles is printed “JAPAN.”
- The lidded box is about 6 3/8 by 5 5/8” and is about 1 ¾” deep.
- The windows have no plastic (if they ever did).
- Condition is very good overall-some of the tips of the hats are somewhat bent or have a small crease. Three of the bases have a name in pencil written upon them.
- Box bottom is very good. Lid has 4 horizontal tears of inch to inch and one-half across the top inside edge of “window” going towards the outer edge of lid. Light corner wear, light grime along some edges form storage.
