You are looking at part of the World Famous ShoeZeumCheck out these Vintage Original Nike Air Jordan 1s. Air Jordan 1s originally came out in 1985 and were MJ\'s first signature shoe. At that time, most Basketball shoes were very plain and simple. They were generally white and grey, white and black, or white and blue. But none were colorful. When Nike came out with the White, Black, and Red Air Jordan 1, Michael thought they looked like the devil\'s shoes. The Black and Red version of the Air Jordan 1 was banned by the NBA because it was too colorful. The NBA fined MJ $5000 per game for wearing the shoes. Michael wore them anyway and Nike paid the fines. Then Nike launched an ad campaign around the shoes being banned by the NBA and they exploded in popularity (YouTube \"Air Jordan Banned Commercial\"). The shoes in this listing were on display in the OGs vs Retros exhibit at the ShoeZeum. The shoes include a Certificate of Authenticity stating that they were a part of the ShoeZeum. No toys or props or other shoes are included in this listing.
