Signed Crown Trifari Sterling Shield Crown Alfred Philippe Patent 140801 Brooch For Sale
Up for your consideration is this magnificent Trifari sterling silver shield brooch designed by Alfred Philippe. It measures 2 inches x 1 3/8 inch and weighs 20.3 grams. The shield design is fabulous topped with a crown, encrusted with many shapes and colors of rhinestones. The rhinestone are gorgeous, expecially the pink cabochons. This brooch is in very good to excellent condition, all stones are present with slight plating wear on the back. I have not cleaned this piece, but can be cleaned if desired. This brooch is signed Trifari with the Crown over the T for Crown Trifari and numbered 18. It is hallmarked sterling with patent number 140801 which was filed by Alfred Philippe on February 25, 1945 and granted on April 10, 1945.
