Intricately antique Japanese Big Okimono of BIJIN watering a bonsai, Meiji period (1868-1912 , early 19th century)
It is a very remarkable work of art the carving performed by the artist, the folds of her kimono are very realistic, they fall in a highly natural and fluid way making waves full of movement.
The lady has a magnificent Japanese kimono and obi with fine clothes fully carved with Japanese pattern, her face is perfect in details and she wears an elaborate hairdo, very realistic face and hands.
This Sculpture has lovely natural old patina and is mounted on ox bone stand
This statue is in good condition, except very small part of his hair pin missing (as showing in photograph), without impact on her beauty
Signed TATSUO TO on the base, Meiji period , Dimensions : Tall 22cm and7 cm Wide, 418 gr
