Silver George V Coronation Souvenir Coin Dish - Robert Pringle 1910 Chester:
$31.10

Souvenir Pin Dish

Made by Robert Pringle & Sons hallmarked in Chester 1910 with a 1911 half penny insert showing the head of George V. Although he ascended the throne in 1910 his coronation was not until June 1911 and it was not until that year when coins where minted bearing his head. It would seem as if these London silversmiths were hard at work making and sending their work to Chester for hallmarking in 1910 and inserting the coins the following year when they became available.

A pretty little dish it has a diameter of 76mm stands some 8mm high and weighs 17.7g. It has collected a few minor bruises over the years but is generally in good condition with nice clear hallmarks. Please see the photographs for further details.

Thank you for looking.
