This Avon Vintage .925 Sterling Silver designer adjustable Heart Spoon Ring comes from the collection of my late mother and is just adorable!
Popular during a revival in the 1970s, these rings are harder and harder to find and have been increasing in value over the past few years. This ring was released by AVON in 1975, and was generally worn only when my mom was working at the Americana craft festivals she loved so much.

HISTORY OF THE SPOON RING
Since silver rings have been found dating back as far as 700 AD, the exact dates for the first spoon rings is difficult to say (when spoons started being made out of silver would be a good guess)... but, the facts that are known about SPOON RINGS are as follows: It was a common occurance for servants to \"acquire\" a spoon or fork from their employers silver set from time to time. Many of these were made into silver wedding rings for those unable to afford to buy a real wedding ring.
Spoon rings were also used by producers of silver table ware sets, commonly given to brides for wedding gifts. The silversmiths/sellers of these sets would give a spoon ring to girls registering at their place of business so the girls would remember, and be able to show, the pattern they picked out - for potential gift givers.
They became very popular again in the 1970s craze for wrap rings... when AVON had this one produced. This particular ring was produced by Avon as a representation of \"Being wrapped in love.\"

Postage & Shipping
We often ship items from Odessa, Ukraine. Usually it takes about 4-10 days for a package to arrive to Europe, 10-14 days to USA, Canada and Asia, and 14-21 days to Australia. Delivery to Italy unfortunately may take from 14 days up to 2 months due to the slow work of the Italian post service.
If you need to combine shipping, two or more reduces per item postage charges by 50%. If you plan to purchase additional items, please let me know in a message. Proof of postage when requested is always obtained; in the event of loss or damage in transit I can forward you the receipt for submitting a claim with the post office. Where multiple items are purchased of high value, as well as high value single items, goods are sent only by signed parcel receipt. Note that my work takes me every month from London to Prague to Odessa and back, I take the items with me, so sometimes items ship from outside the UK with the same quality and care as within, and at local prices. I aim to post within 2 working days of cleared payment.
Returns
In the unlikely event that you need to return your goods, we gladly accept returns! Please make initial contact within 48 hours of receiving the goods for further instructions. For a refund, goods will need to be returned in the same condition as sent, with appropriate packaging and the correct return postage paid for by the buyer within 14 days of receipt. If we have made a gross misrepresentation in the description of the goods, a full refund including return postage will be issued on return of goods.

Payment
Please pay as promptly as possible within 3 days of the end of sale unless otherwise agreed via prior contact. PayPal is preferred method of payment and we ship out when payment is received.
Delivery expenses
Please, take into account that some items in our shop can be sent from the Czech Republic and Ukraine. Packing and handling + insurance are included in the shipping cost, which is sent via airmail with signature at about the same price as Royal Mail… I do not put a mark up on postage costs.
