This is a lovely 23" antique Simon and Halbig CM Bergmann child antique doll. She is free of cracks or fine lines in her bisque. She wears a lovely blond mohair wig with a adorable braid. She has deep ocean blue sleep eyes with a working mechanism, raised feathered brows, painted upper and lower lashes, open mouth with outlined lips and a cute dimple on her chin. She has a freckle of white on her nose. She is on her original factory composition ball jointed body. She has all fingers and toes with the red lining emphasis. Her dress is simply gorgeous with accented lace, lots of pintucking with ribbon accents. This dress is in excellent condition. Accenting her dress are her antique undergarments with shoes in good condition. She is a precious antique child doll to add to your collection.
History: Simon & Halbig was founded in 1839, they began making dolls from 1869 to 1920 in their two porcelain factories in Frafenhain and Hidburghausen, near Thuringia, Germany. In 1920 S & H was bought by Kämmer & Reinhardt, who continued to produce dolls until 1932. Simon & Halbig is known for the fine bisque doll heads and innovation in the doll industry, they also supplied doll heads to many other well known doll manufacturers.
