This is one of the neatest things we\'ve been producing in the shop recently! It\'s a gorgeous petrified twisted juniper limb cut and polished on one end to reveal all the gemmy wood grain inside! It\'s very dark and highly translucent agate, so good light brings a lot of detail out in the growth structure of this very gemmy fossil limb. It came from a verygnarled section of the tree (quite possibly a root)and has some of the most impressive wood grain and mass you\'ll ever see in a twisting, delicately preserved, solid agatepetrified wood fossil treasure!

Ever see a petrified tree branch so perfectly preserved that you could see not only the wood growth rings but also the kinks and knots where this gnarled old limb wound its way through a juniper tangle?! Well here you go! Exclusively from Sticks-in-Stones lapidary, this truly exceptional McDermitt, Oregon, petrified wood limb is one of the best around. A good agate interior with easily visible growth rings and rays on the inside and wood texture so natural on the outside you might not think it was a rock until you picked it up! This contorted limb is an oddity in it\'s own right, but the fact that it\'s so well preserved and so solid makes it a nice collector piece for petrified wood lovers. This limb is so solid it \"tinks\" like a wind chime when tapped against another. The polished end reveals a lot of dark agate color and fossil wood detail - it\'s really quite beautiful!

If you look at either polished end under magnification, you can see that it has a really pretty and well defined radial grain structure. This one is also showing resin canals.

This fossil treasure was cut on one end with a diamond saw then ground, sanded and polished professionally to produce the highly polished face you see in the photo. This limb took a great polish and the detail in the end really is exceptional.

This stone has been professionally cut and polished to produce a gem quality mirror shine. Measures about 1 1/2\" across the face on the polished end and is about 5\" long. Weight is0.42 lbs. It\'s a nice sized limb with a delicate sense of detail!
