This is a nice reproduction of a DARK BLUE Wool, Civil War Civilian Man\'s Double-Breasted Vest - this type andstyle of double-breasted, shawl collar vest was popular in the 1840s - 1880s. Very, very nice all around. Your Vest will come WITH these military brass buttons. Feel free to use whatever buttons you personally chose on this coat once youreceive it. This has never been worn, and is new. This takes a total of 8 buttons, that\'s all and would look good with some originalbuttons if you found some on!
About a size 46 (marked) chest, and fits nice on the body as it should for this era.
