Vintage enamel charm for bracelet or small pendant featuring a detailed scene of the midnight sun behind rugged cliffs and the open ocean. While these scenes are commonly found on brooches and bracelets, I believe that finding a charm with this enameling to be somewhat of a rarity. As to the maker, it appears likely that this was made by David Andersen; the mark is extremely similar to the mark used by the David Andersen firm from 1888 - 1925 which consists of a trident. I have tried to photograph the mark as best as possible and it does resemble this early D-A mark very much. However, instead of being marked with 830S as was perhaps, more common at this time, this charm is marked \"925S\", the more recently commonly used reference for sterling silver in Scandinavia which would instead more likely date the piece to the 1960\'s. Perhaps a well informed er has the answer. The piece comes complete with its original jump rings, ready for wearing either as a pendant or attached to a charm bracelet.Details & Hallmarks:
The charm is small; measuring only 3/8 of an inch (or 1 cm) in total diameter not including the jump ring/bale.
