This is a solid brass sand-cast oval picture frame. There are stud holes on the back which presumably once held pegs and a backing to the frame. A hanging fitting is on the back for wall mounting. It\'s approximately 7 inches wide, 12 inches tall, and weighs about 1.25 lbs.
Looking at the pictures, they don\'t do it justice. It has much more of a shine than the photos show, and only a light patina in the recessed areas. On the reverse side, there are a few tiny spots of corrosion. In the right hands, it could easily be fitted to display a photograph or house a mirror.
