For sale is thisnicely decorated Solid Silver bowl, cover and spoon from an Ambassadors estate. I think it may be Egyptian or Turkish, all you experts out there will know for sure. All 3 pieces have silver marks. Thebowl withcoveris approx.9.5cm or3 3/4inches across, and is approx. 10cm or 4 inches highto the top of the cover.The spoon is approx. 12cm or 4 3/4 inches in length. Total weight including all 3 pieces is283 grams.The pieces areinlovelycondition with only a tiny dent to the edge of the cover. This item came from the estate (directly from the family) of the first New Zealand Ambassador to Iran, Bruce Brown who served from 1975-1978. (also Ambassador to Pakistan).I have included and image ofa wooden framed photograph of Bruce Brown shaking Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi's hand in 1975 at the Niavaran palace in Tehran, the Shah's final residence before his overthrow four years later.The framed photograph does not go with the box, it is to be sold with Item number: 400501403011,a Persian silver frame from the Shah himself. If you do a search for the Ambassador on the internet there is a matching photograph just before Bruce Brown shakes the Shah's hand.
