The plates come with there 1972 Certificate Of Registration. This certifies that is a true and legal reproduction of an original work of art by John A. Ruthven produced under the direst supervision of the artist. The plates measure 10 1/2" in diameter and are of the Eastern Blue Bird & Goldfinch. They have there original labels and gold markings on the back. They are in there original wooden case with latch. The wooden case has a nick in the wood and some wear. The plates are very clean and the color is bright and crisp. I see no chips or cracks. These beautiful plates purchased in October 17, 1972 over 40 years old and are stunning. The artist John A.
