Souvenir "coin" / medal commemorating the landing of Christopher Columbus, World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago, 1893. The image of Columbus is in higher relief than many of the souvenir coins. The face reads "CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS / BORN 1456 DIED 1506". On the verso is an elaborate depiction of the Fair, Miss Liberty and (?), and the American Eagle and it reads "SOUVENIR WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION, CHICAGO, U.S.A. 1892 - 1893" and "1492 - 1493 / IV. CENTENNIAL". It measures 2" in diameter and is 1/8" thick. There is some very light wear around edge but overall in very fine condition.
