This limited edition Orange Parker Duofold Centennial is in a black monogrammed box within which is an engraved wood case clasped by an orange foil wrapper declaring the contents to be a Special Edition Parker Duofold. Also included is a full ink cartridge as well as a “twist” converter which is used to draw ink from a bottle after which it is inserted into the pen for use if you choose.
Inside is the stunning Orange Duofold Centennial pen banded by heavy 23 karat gold electroplate. The nib is 18 karat golf with a ruthenium metal arrow motif leading to the ruthenium (an extremely hard metal) tip. Of course the pen comes with an instruction booklet as well as Platinum Club Exclusive Privileges, which includes a lifetime warranty, complimentary monogram, fountain pen nib exchange, and toll free customer service.
This pen was a new gift to me 27 years ago; It was so beautiful I couldn’t bring myself to use it. The black outer box top has a small rubbed area from contact with an item with which it shared a drawer.
