BEAUTIFUL ART DECO ERA MATHEY-TISSOT MEN\'S WATCH
SIMPLE, CLEAN, ELEGANT ART DECO DESIGN. ALMOST 100 YEARS OLD. MOVEMENT IS PRISTEEN AND A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF SWISS CRAFTMANSHIP FROM A BYGONE ERA.
Mathey Tissot was one of the premiere watch houses in Switzerland before WWII and the 1950s. However, it suffered financial demise during the quartz era watch competition, and made the unfortunate decision to switch to quartz movements. Today it has repositioned itself as more of a fashion and accessory watch company. Still, its older watches command respect and attention due to the finecraftsmanship and details. Elvis Presley reportedly was a huge fan of Mathey Tissots and gave each of his inner circle one of them. Apparently, wearing one of the watches that he gave away, allowed easy entrance into his shows.ORIGINAL ART DECO DIAL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. COPPER/GOLD BACKGROUND.
