Vintage Clear
Lucite / Plastic 4 Leaf Clover Heart Pendant or Charm
SIZE:Pendantmeasures: 7/8" in height; 5/8" inwidth Please see my special notes on precious metals located below the "Age / Year Made" section. Thank you! ITEM DETAILS: This sale features a vintage Lucite or
clear plastic 4 leafed Clover Heart pendant or charm. It is shaped into the
form of a heart with a piece of silver-tone metal encasing it around the sides.
I believe this plastic to be Lucite; however, it may also be another type of
vintage plastic, too. Inside this, there is a small synthetic 4 leaf clover or shamrock. I
thought at first that this was a real clover, but on closure inspection, it
just doesn't seem to have a natural enough look to it. In fact, it almost looks
as though the tiny “veins” have been painted in with a very, very fine brush of
some sort. Even so, most of this was seen on very close inspection (some of it
I didn't even notice until I looked at it under magnification), but I did want
to mention it for accuracy. It is two-sided, so either way it is worn, the
clover will be seen at all times. Although I did check, I did not find any
maker’s marks or names. It would be a great piece to wear for the upcoming St.
Patrick’s Day festivities! CONDITION: Fair ~ I am considering the age and use of this item when factoring the condition rating.
As this
pendant or charm is vintage, I would say it rates in Fair condition for
the age and use of it. I did note the usual surface scratches and minor scuffing to the plasticseen on both
sides; however, these scratches and scuffing do not appear to be bad enough to keep the piece from
being worn. The silver-tone metal looks to be doing okay, but does show some
minor wear associated with age. Please do keep in mind, too, that this is NOT a
precious metal – it is merely silver-tone in color. I do not see any major
wears associated with this piece. There are no chips, cracks, or missing pieces
to the plastic or Lucite. It does appear to be wearable as it currently it, as
well. With age and use considered, I would still say this piece rates in Fair
condition for the age and use of it.
AGE/ DATE MADE: Although exact age is unknown, I do feel this piece is vintage Special note on fine metals: Silver & Gold prices can fluctuate wildly from day to day, week to week, and even minute to minute. With that said, I have become very wary of is people purchasing fine metals from me and then turning around and claiming that, a) either the gold or silver price has changed or, b) my scale is off by 0.1 of a gram, and I should therefore refund that tenth of a gram (in money) back into the respective Paypal account. I have purchased a brand new digital scale and will no longer refund for tenth of a gram difference OR for gold / silver prices changes on the stock market. If I have made a large error in weight I will -- of COURSE -- continue to honor my very lenient full return policy, but will no longer refund for either market price changes OR tenth of a gram weight variations from scale to scale. If you would like a full return, simply return the exact item(s) back, and I will refund your entire purchase price. I will no longer refund partial payments, though. Please keep this in mind while offerding and, more importantly, I am very sorry for even having to post this due to the few problems I've had.
