Fine State of Pennsylvania Deposition - Land Dispute - Cumberland County, dispute over whether a woman's husband sold some land before he died, and now two people argue that it is there's. A Catherine Creek brings the dispute because a Peter Hicks says Philip Creek was going to sell the land to him, but Garrison the surveyor said Philip Creek was selling to him. Catherine Creek the widow said her husband was going to sell to Garrison the surveyor, and then a person named Galley of Philadelphia said Philip Creek sold him the land 5 or 6 years ago. A complication this document does not give an answer too. A delicate folded hand made paper document with folds and at some time held together with tape. The seal of the Land Record Office of Cumberland County is embossed into the document and that is dated February 8th. 1817. Scarce.From the Fine Collection of an Old English Gentleman.
