State Of Pennsylvania Indenture - Deed Poll - Borough Of Carlisle - 1803:
Very Fine State of Pennsylvania Indenture - Deed Poll - Borough of Carlisle, dated June 14th. 1803, between Martin Gray, Merchant, Carlisle and John Samberton of Tyrone County. There is evidently some dispute over a one hundred and seven acres and thirty four perches parcel of land Martin Gray sold on June 17th. 1793 for $1305.75 cents (a huge sum of money in those days). Evidently it was all sorted out. Indenture on heavy hand made paper with a watermark, four pages in total, all handwritten. Has been folded with a coupe of tine holes where folded. Scarce early indenture. From the Fine Collection of an Old English Gentleman.
