A Strikingly individual Steampunk corset sewing pattern, the "Asylum" corset is a high back full laced front fastening pattern that frames the figure with a beautifully striking silhouette.
At Harlots and Angels Corsetry we have over 25 years experience in making and fitting traditional tight lacing corsets. for the first time we are releasing our full range of patterns for you to buy and sharing our years of knowledge to empower you in your costuming and sewing adventures. All of our patterns have been made many times in our studio so we know they work and give long lasting results.
This paper sewing pattern is exclusively designed by Harlots and Angels Corsetry and has been crafted to be a perfect and comfortable fit for all shapes and sizes. This pattern can be relied on to give the beautiful curves that a real Victorian construction corset should give whilst fitting modern body measurements.
Detailed instructions on measuring yourself, fitting and adapting the pattern to your own measurements to enable you to make a corset that is perfect.
Available in the following sizes: Please not these are the actual Corset measurements and you should generally choose a pattern with corset waist 3" -4" less than your natural waist.
20" -22" -24" waist = SMALL size
26"-28"-30" waist = MEDIUM size
32" -34"-36" waist = LARGE size

Materials required for this corset pattern:
Outer fabric for corset,
Interlining (good quality medium weight cotton/poly Cotton),
heavy cotton drill or coutil for main lining,
quality bias binding,
metal busk for fastening or buckles, leather straps and rivets,
flat steel bones for front and back and spiral bones for side channels,
eyelets and washers (no.500)
Reinforcing strips for eyelets,
eyelet setting tool,
4mm hole punch.
