Once more the time has come round for us to run our Christmas sales. Good views have all but disappeared from the market but this year we have some of the rarest views you are ever likely to see. We have quite a wide range of views this time; as well as the old favorites - Ogle and Edge, Frith, Bedford, etc. We have a good selection of early Crystal Palace views (including T.R. Williams), some good genre and some VERY rare views at the end of each day.

This sale is for a view of the Great Eastern, titled \'The Great Eastern in the Stereoscope. Photographed by special permission of the Board of Directors. Looking Aft from the Larboard Paddle Box\'. Bears a London Stereoscopic blindstamp. Interestingly, added in ink \'...at Holyhead. 25 Oct. 1859\'. The Great Eastern put into Holyhead in Wales on its maiden voyage to New York. This is one of a collection of 16 Great Eastern views which we were fortunate to have secured in the U.K. We are offering all of them in these sales, including another version of this view which is hand-tinted and has different people on the deck, please see our overview for the others.
