This dainty littlesterling silvers demitasse (or coffee) spoon was made in LondonEnglandin 1908. Hallmarks include the lionpassant, the leopard\'s head (uncrowned) designating the Londonassay office, and an \"n\" date letter in the format for London, 1908. The maker\'s marks are worn and unclear, butappear to be JW above FCW which is the mark for James Wakely and John ClarkWheeler (now Wakely and Wheeler) that was used by the firm between 1884 and1909.

The spoon measures4 1/2\" and weighs 0.3 oz (10 grams).There is no monogram. The bowlappears to be slightly bent but the spoon is otherwise in good condition withno noticeable dents or scratches, but some signs of wear appropriate for a 118year old spoon. It could stand a bit ofa polish.
