A very rare early victorian castle top heavily chase and repousee decorated vinaigrette in the shape of a fishing bag. The vinaigrette is hallmarked for 1848-49and was assayed in Birmingham by C.WC.The overall condition is great although when the top is opened it catches the grill also to be noted pohot 6 there is a minute split on the edge also the grill hinge end has a minute split. This piece is extremely rare and the and the minor splits can be repaired. The diamentions and weight are Hieght 2.5cm, Width of thecastle top 3.5cm, depth of the castle top 1.5cm. This piece would grace any vinaigrette collection or make that wonderful present, so thank you for viewing and good luck offerding.
