This is a sterling silver John F. Simons facet and vertical scroll sewing thimble. The thimble is a Number 11 in size. The thimble weighs 7.8 grams according to my scale. The thimble is marked on the outside \"11\". On the inside the thimble is marked \"(a shield with a gothic \'S\') / Sterling Silver\". This leads me to believe this a Simons designed thimble. The thimble is in near excellent condition with natural tarnish and light wear. A very nice sewing thimble to go in your thimble collection.
