RARE EXAMPLE OF FRANK SMITH SILVER FROM GARDNER MA.
Pleased to offer a splendid sterling silver repousse gravy boat by the American silversmith Frank Smith. His company made fine sterling flat and holloware from the 1880's until 1902.
A stunningpattern bearing a floral and leaf design throughout the entire piece, sitting atop three shell capped feet. A leafcapped double scrolled handle compliment the boat. Measuring 5 inches long and 2 1/3 inches wide, and standing 3 inches tall.Of heavy gauge silver weighing 90 grams 3oz. Stamped on the bottom with the makers mark of an "S" in an oval betweena bow, and stamped by the well regarded retailer J.E. Caldwell of Philadelphia.
