This spectacular Steuben Glass Signed Paperweight is shaped like an egg and measures approximately 3 3/8" H x 2 3/4" widest point. This is crystal clear and several photos were taken with a black background for contrast. We acquired this years ago at an old estate and areuncertainof its age. It is very similar to a Steuben sphere paperweight from 1950 or earlier though we are not experts and the age isundetermined. The piece has been closely scrutinized under direct light and even on a light box. We seeabsolutelyno damage or signs of wear not even on the base where you might expect to find scratches. We can say it looks like the similar piecespiral cane work of art but may or may not be from the same time period.It has a small manipulated bubble that looks like a small hot air balloon orupsidedown drop. It is very cool and fascinating to look at. It is signed Steuben across the center of the flat bottom. No box available.
