This sale is for a Lovely Antique Flow Blue Porcelain Dinner Plate made by Ridgways of England in the company’s Striking Gainsborough Pattern.
The pattern is of a floral and scroll design in flow blue against a white semi-porcelain background with raised or molded flourishes and gold accents and trim and a scalloped edge.
The plate measures 10 inches across and it in Very Good condition, especially for its age, which dates to the very early 1900s.
There are no chips or cracks. There is a shallow flake on the back that I believe is a potters mark and done in manufacturing process (photo 11) There is fine, even crazing throughout and age appropriate wear of the gold trim/accents (see last photo).
These pieces are Very Hard to come by, especially in this condition.
The flow blue is lovely and seeps nicely to the back.
The plate has a Ridgways Royal Semi Porcelain Crown mark with the pattern name.

I am selling many other antique china and flow blue pieces and will combine shipping whenever possible.
