DescriptionIf you think of American timepieces, one name that will come to mind is American Waltham. Waltham is an icon of American Watches, selling watches to the public from as early as 1853.

This particular sale features a part of that history. Here is aCirca 1896, Size 12, 14 Karat Gold, American Waltham Watch Co., Riverside, Open-Face Pocket Watch. It is a True Classic!!!

The17 Jewel, Model 1894, movement is marked AWWCo., Waltham Mass., Riverside, Adjusted, Safety Barrel with the serial number7158592 dating this timepiece to the1896 according to published production records. The Pendent Set movementsets and windsproperly as well as keeps excellent time.

TheSingle Sunk, FIre-Baked EnamelDial is in excellent condition. It is marked Waltham.beneath the 12 position andhas Blue Steel Spade Hands which are nice as well as the subsidiary hand.

The14 Karat Yellow Gold, Double HingedCase is inexcellent condition.(small ding on bezel near 3) It ismsrked Roy, Warranted 14K, U.S. Assay, 144092 on the inside case back. The hinges open and close nicely and the bow is tight.
